Materials and contact
SAKI identifies the reservoir walls, bottom plate, spout, and lid underside as 304 stainless steel. Its support information also identifies a heat-resistant silicone lid seal and food-grade plastic components in the lid mechanism. The exact exposure of those lid components to steam and returning condensate is not fully mapped.
Care
Hand-wash the lid with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. Wipe the unplugged exterior with a well-wrung cloth, and never submerge or rinse the power base. Descale the water chamber as needed with the manufacturer's vinegar, lemon, or citric-acid method.
